Sad...Very sad...in Tehran, Iran...Her name was Neda

All over the internet there is video of a woman (video brought me to tears, it's very intense) a student, her name was Neda she was protesting in Iran. Yesterday she was shot and killed by a Basij . So incredibly sad she has become literally overnight the symbol of the fighting going on in Iran. I will not post the video cause its really graphic, but if you want to see it...Click here...(it is 40 seconds, but there are more versions, but this is the main one, I'm warning you its heavy and sad) I think it is crazy that all the stuff that is happening is coming out through Twitter. It is crazy, Journalists are not allowed to broadcast or to report stories, so the people of Iran especially the youth have gotten together to make sure that their voices get out. Read more here.

I also think its important to note that more women have voted and fought than ever before in Iran.

I have not done much on it, I downloaded it last night and installed it, took longer than most times, a lot of stuff was put in. But the fact that it does that (above is a screenshot) is pretty cool as is. LoL Once I find out more it does I'm sure I will be more excited. Granted I am very into the small Macbook pro.Heehee

So as you can see from the top...I was burned bad. My eyes, nose and cheeks were swollen, even lips... I used SPF but turns out it was expired. Sigh. So yea, hence the burn. Anyway, the bottom pic is me today, and I am a lot less red and swollen. My eyes are still a little swollen but..I def feel better. I also now got a tan line! LoL Yay!

Another reason Grace Kelly just ruled.

So last week I was reading about Josephine Baker, and it mentioned something that really took me. Grace Kelly and Josephine Baker were in a restaurant together  called "The Stork Club" and the owner of the restaurant was racist and Josephine Baker being black was told her steak would take some time. Over an hour passed and still nothing, she got up and starting to walk out. Grace Kelly took her arm, and her whole dinner party and left with her. Announcing that she will never ever eat her again because of their bigotry. And she never ever went back. Now sadly I saw a movie on Ms. Josephine Baker and this was not mentioned. But yes it is true, and I love her even more for it. Gotta love someone who stands up and sticks to it.

I love "Law & Order SVU" but I think it's totally wack that they do not give Olivia Benson a love interest. I really think she needs one. She's lovely, fiercely loyal and smart...Why no love interest?!

MTV Movie rant...

I dunno what the deal was with Eminem as usual he acted like a drama king..and his lip-synching? Oh yea? And he stays dissing pop stars right? Hypocrite. Kristen Stewart act's like a weirdo and not in a cute way, but in an annoying bitch way. I'm sad that Slumdog did not win best picture...yes I get that Twilight was a good book, cause it was, I read it, but dude..the movie was terrible. That being said, Kings of Leon were spectacular and give me even more reason to go see them live, as if that was possible. As usual Amy Poehler was hilarious. Andy Samberg was pretty good... The "New Moon" Twilight trailer was pretty good...That's all the rant I have. LOL

P.S. Robert Pattinson looked really good...and that close up Zachary Quinto was a nice treat...LoL!

So I am still reading "A Short History of Nearly Everything" and let me tell you..so good. I just want to share something I read in it..which is amazing.

I'm still obsessed with Star Trek...LOL!

What you see there..is my Blackberry Wallpaper..LoL! Ha! When I really like something...we all know how I get...(Arrested Development) LOL..So..yes...Thing is..when I was a kid I used to watch a lot of it with Mom cause she really liked it, we would watch the Voyager and Generation ones and Knight Rider...LOL, those were me and my moms show...but when I saw the movie...it all came back to me! I told my mom..I was like mom...um..I'm in love with Star Trek..and she just started at me..and said..(in Spanish) " Sweetie, you were obsessed with it when you were younger. How could you not remember your lunch box and Star Trek figurine"? And..just like that! I remembered! I knew we watched it together...but I had forgotten the Trekkie obsession!  LoL! So yea..I am currently watching all the Original ones on CBS.com but I'm gonna buy the DVDs. Ha! So funny.
